Counselling by a Barnstaple based Counsellor working in Braunton, Barnstaple and North Devon - Wendy Gleadle The Counselling People Deep Release Association of Christian Counsellors

Do you live in North Devon? Could counselling help you?

Sometimes we need someone who will listen to us and accept us. Counselling can help make sense of thoughts and feelings of loss, anger, or anxiety, and help develop skills and resources to cope.

Introducing myself and my counselling practice

My name is Wendy Gleadle and I live in Wrafton, Braunton, near Barnstaple, North Devon. Having initially worked as a visiting counsellor in the Lee Abbey Christian Community, I am now in private practice, where all are welcome, irrespective of beliefs, age or culture.

My counselling model

I use an integrative approach, based on understanding, positive regard and empathy. Together we can look at how your past affects your present, and explore how changing the way you think can alter the way you feel. Many clients enjoy exploring their emotions by using the creative skills of drawing, pictures, puppets and dolls.

My qualifications

  • Diploma and Certificate in Counselling
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills for Pastoral Care
  • Accredited Member of the Association of Christian Counsellors
  • Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

I work to the BACP Code of Practice and Ethics.

My fees

The standard fee is £20 per one hour session, Couples: £30. However some concessionary rates are available, please ask.
